  • As the first President of the United States, George Washington had to set precedents and values that all following presidents had to follow. George was a great leader.
  • George Washington created the first presidential cabinet. The cabinet consisted of the  Secretary of War, the Attorney General, the Secretary of State, and the Secretary of Treasury. 
  • As Secretary of Treasury, Alexander Hamilton had a big problem. The U.S. owed 72 MILLION DOLLARS to soldiers, states, and other countries. 
  • U.S. DEBT
  • Alexander Hamilton proposed that the U.S. should put tariffs on imports, and make bonds for citizens.
  • George Washington, McQueen, set the precedents for all the next presidents. Alexander Hamilton solved the U.S debt problem.
