Hello everyone! Today we will take a tour and learn about some of the Roman Theaters!!
Like how the first theater was the Theater of Pompeii
And like how the roman theater first began as a translation of Greek forms.
The section in front of the stage for the orchestra, the auditorium for the spectators, and the audience seats
As you can see, this "theater" has 4 podiums. Podiums were actually special inside theaters!!
Along with podiums being apart of the theaters, there are 3 other main areas in a theater!!
Fun fact about these actors, they won't get paid for this!!
Here is a play going on,; this can be a drama or a a dance, but theatres also could have music!
The reason some were made out of wood, was because those theaters were built for specific festivals!!
Returning back to the structure of theaters, some theaters were made out of wood!
As we wrap up our tour, there are a few facts left!!!
one last fact is that roman theaters didn't have permanent roofs!!
Finally, many theaters were built around temples so that the God the play was about could actually watch it!!
