Storyboard Text

  • Well, let me show you.
  • Vertebrate Classes
  • What kinds of vertebrate classes are there?
  • Look at these mammals.  We classify them as mammals because they have fur, give live birth, have a backbone, and breathe air through lungs.
  • Wow
  • There are 3 types of fish.  Bony fish, jawless fish, and cartilaginous fish. They lay eggs and live underwater. They breath with gills
  • I never knew that!
  • Reptiles are ectothermic which means that that their body temperature adapts to the environment.
  • This is interesting.  I wonder why I never payed attention in science class.
  • They are also animals that have a chordata or backbone. They also have scales for protection.
  • And they need to be slimy to survive. They go through something called metamorphosis; what they do as they grow up.
  • Eww, Frogs are gross
  • Actually Frogs are cool and a type of amphibian and just because they are slimy doesn't mean they're gross.
  • The way birds fly is by using air sacs.  They are endothermic so they are always the same temperature.
  • I'm a flamingo!
