Storyboard Description

1) The Revolutionary War was initiated by delegates from the thirteen American colonies in Congress against Great Britain over their objection to Parliament's taxation policies and lack of colonial representation. This depicts the famous painting of George Washington crossing the Delaware River. 2) The Stamp Act of 1765 was an Act of the Parliament of Great Britain which imposed a direct tax on the British colonies in America and required that many printed materials in the colonies be produced on stamped paper produced in London, carrying an embossed revenue stamp. 3) Thomas Jefferson was an American Founding Father, the principal author of the Declaration of Independence (1776), and the third President of the United States from 1801–1809.
