  • A Boston Dock
  • Are you exited for your very first voyage Captain?
  • Yes, but I'm a little nervous. I am unsure what the Triangular Trade is, we are taking the route for it.

  • Rum
  • Raw
  • Tobacco
  • Iron
  • It's pretty simple, first we will pack rum, iron, raw materials, and tobacco on the ship. Then head to Africa.
  • Africa
  • In Africa we exchange cargo, for Slaves, we continue to the West Indies.
  • West Indies
  • Now at the West Indies, we exchange slaves for molasses and sugar. Next we head back to the 13 colonies.
  • Sugar
  • 13 Colonies
  • Back at the 13 Colonies we exchange sugar to make rum and the process happen all over again. We also trade molasses and slaves.

  • The Triangular  Trade brings wealth  to the 13 Colonies and the West Indies, but not not Africa. The Triangular  Trade gets its name by the three stops it goes to creates a triangle from the perspective  of looking on a map.
  • Are you ready now?
  • Does it bring a lot of wealth to every country we go to? Why is it called the Triangular  Trade?
  • Yes, but I have some questions?
