  • It was the first battle, it basically started the whole Texas Revolution. It started October 2,1835. Francisco de Castaneda ordered the Texas army to give up their cannon, but they refused. The Texans ended up winning the battle. this was called the, "Lexington of Texas'.
  • Massacre At Goliad

  • George Childress was the man who mainly wrote the Declaration of Independence. It mostly talked about ceasing to protect the lives, liberty, and property of the people. It was written on March 2, 1836.
  • Runaway Scrape

  • This battle lasted 13 days, it started February 23, 1836 and ended March 6, 1836, March 6, 1836 was the actual day all the bad stuff happened at the Alamo. Santa gave orders to attack just before dawn around 5 am in the morning. Many of Texans and little of Mexicans died that day. Sadly the Texans did not win this battle.
  • Battle Of San Jacinto
  • This was on March 27,1836. After capturing men at the battle if Goliad; General Jose Urrea was ordered to kill all the men who were captured. General Urrea took all the captives into a field, lined them up and shot and all of them. These were tragic losses for many.
  • This all went down in Spring of 1836. Texans/Americans were scared of Santa Anna's arrival in Texas that they would all be killed. When news spread about the Alamo and Goliad the Texans/Americans all fled their towns in fear. They burned downs most of their houses so that the Mexicans couldn't get any supplies. Many died in the months of travel.
  • This all happened on April 21, 1836. On April 19, the Texans set up camp on the river of San Jacinto. They were eager to get revenge on the Mexicans of what happened at the Battle of the Alamo. Sam Houston ordered Deaf Smith to destroy the bridge of the Mexican army escape route. As soon as Houston ordered to fire, the Texan army did not hesitate. When they were shooting they shouted, ' Remember the Alamo", and ' remember Goliad'. the Battle was over within 18 min. 730 men taken captured. Santa Anna had vanished during the battle.
