Hello, traveler. Give me food, and I will help you in your creation.
The man sat there and marveled in his creation. And to his luck he found a turtle. A speaking turtle!
The man considered, and ultimately accepted the turtle's request. He spawned a tiny fish for it to eat, which it did.
The turtle thanked the man, and as promised, agreed to help the man. It began to change and grow in size, until it became a huge land mass with trees and rivers. This land mass is called North America today, and is also why it's nicknamed "Great Turtle Island."
The man then took the other half of his stick, and broke it into multiple pieces.
The bigger pieces became big animals like deer and bears, and the small pieces became squirrels and other rodents
The man then flew to the top of the highest mountain, where he'd stay there to watch over his creations. The mountain is called Mount Shasta today.
