  • Pearl Harbor was a tragic war which was between Japan and America. Japan had planned a surprise attack on American war ships in Hawaii. Japan followed the plan of first making warnings that America was listening to . Then they made a surprise air attack as the first wave and a battlefield attack as the second wave.
  • Japanese and American Point of views
  • we attacked the Americans surprisingly, they ha no idea the attack was going to happen even though we gave them warnings.
  • We were awoken by the large sounds of bomb explosions, we were told to stay in our homes until the war was over.
  • General Hideki Tojo was the Chief and head of the Japanese army and the minister of war. Tojo had an extensive military career and he had believed in an aggressive foreign policy. He opposed any plans to take troops out of Korea or China but he did initially support a negotiation with the United States
  • FDR: Franklin D. Roosevelt stated that on December 7, 1941 was a day where the US would live in infamy after Japan suddenly deliberately attacked the US  with their naval and air forces.
