- Big brother, what is constitution?
- Well lil sis, a constitution is defined as the fundamentallaw of a nation or state. AlsoIt establishes the character and the basic principles of our government.
- It is also called a Supreme Law of the Land.
- Then???
- It is the source of the sovereign powers of a government byestablishing the fixed, first or basic principles on which the government is founded.
- And it has three classifications, which are written, enacted and rigid.
- Now, that you know about constitution, let me just share about the 1987 Philippine Constitution.
- The 1987 Constitution established a representative democracy with power divided among three separate and independent branches of government: the Executive, a bicameral Legislature, and the Judiciary.
- It has 18 articles and a preamble that I think you will be curious about.
