Do not worry, Jesus is in Heaven, go wait in Jerusalem for a gift from God.
Jesus took his disciples to a mountain called Gethsemane to pray. After he had prayed to God, Jesus went down the mountain and found his disciples asleep. A throng of people had come, following Judas the betrayer. He came up to Jesus and gave him a kiss on the cheek. At once guards arrested him he was taken to Pontius Pilate and he asked the throng... "Who should I release Barabbas or Jesus?" "Barabbas, Barabbas!" the throng screamed so jesus was crucified.
After Jesus died on the cross he was moved into a tomb. He was in there for 3 days, his tomb was covered by a large stone and infront were 2 men were sent there to guard it. After 3 days, 3 women came to treat Jesus' body, but when they arrived at his tomb they saw the stone had been rolled away and in front of it was an angel, "Don't be afraid, Jesus has risen, just like he has said. go tell his disciples that they will meet the in Jerusalem." They ran of to tell them but along the way they ran into Jesus, "Go and tell my disciples I have risen." he told them.
Jesus died on the cross for our sins, if you are baptised you will live with God forever.
After Jesus had been with the disciples for some time, he took them to Bethany and rose into heaven. After that, an angel came down and told them to wait for an amazing gift.
40 days after Jesus had risen, Pentecost had arrived. The disciples were together in a room when a strong gust of wind came, then they noticed tongues of fire above their heads. When they started to talk, they were amazed to hear them talking in foreign languages.
Other people enjoying the festivities, heard the disciples speaking in the foreign languages and were amazed, while some thought they were drunk. Peter spoke up, "We are not drunk, this is the work of God," the people were stunned, Peter continued, "He has gifted us the holy spirit, and the man that was crucified was his son." the people were ashamed and a bit sad, but Peter continued, "He died on the cross to forgive us of our sins, so come be baptised and you will live forever with God."
Over 3000 people were baptised that day, and Pentecost is now also known as the churches birthday, and good news, and the stories of Jesus spread around the world.
