Storyboard Text

  • Siddhartha Gautama and his search for Enlightenment.
  • Siddhartha leaves his family.
  • I'm going to find Enlightenment.
  • Where's Daddy going?
  • Siddhartha started his journey.
  • Siddhartha Guatama lived in Talihawa, Nepal which is just near Lamahi and Buchwald. Siddhartah eventually realised that he did not want to become a warrior like his father wanted him to, he wanted to find enlightenment.
  • Siddharthas travels.
  • Siddhartha said good bye to his family and left to find what he had wanted to find which was enlightenment.
  • Siddhartha and the Bohdi tree.
  • Siddhartha began his journey to fine enlightenment, he walked for for years only accepting food that was offered to him. He walked as a monk and visited many different villages, he greeted them with kindness and because of that he got given food.
  • The end of his spiritual journey.
  • Gautama gave up his extreme life and began to eat normally again. His five followers now left him, disgusted that he had, in their opinion, been defeated. All alone now, he decided to tackle the quest once again, and he sat himself under a Bodhi tree at a place called Bodh Gaya and determined not to move until he had found the answers he sought.
  • His meditation under the tree was deep and on the night of the full moon in May, complete Enlightenment came to him. His mind became calm and clear and he understood the cycle of birth, death and the wheel of life. He understood his true nature and that of all living beings.
  • This was the end of his spiritual journey, and at that moment he became "the Buddha". To this day over six hundred million. Siddhartha found enlightenment because of his giving and care for everyone around him on his journeys.
