  • I am one of Rome's citizens. My houses are made of wood and we have small grills for cooking.
  • Fire is a danger for all of us in Rome.
  • There were indoor pools, kitchens, and dining rooms.
  • I am one of the wealthy Romans. I live in houses made of stone and marble.  
  • We usually worked rather than going to school.
  • We learned things such as Latin, Greek, math, science, music, and literature being taught in school.
  • Before school, however, we were tutored by our fathers or slaves.
  • We eat things such as figs, fish, asparagus, and bread.
  • But we all get the same foods from the thermopolia.
  • Our food choices are a bit more advanced. We eat meat, bread, mice, parrots, jellyfish, snails, and dates.
