I am 12 years old and I attend school within an amazing school system.
This is my plantation, I grow crops and benefit the economy.
The Railroad was Constructed
I am a cowboy and this is my brother, he is a merchant. We decided to move west and live in the new land.
Unfortunately our rations ran a bit thin when we arrived so we took advantage of the Natives plentiful resources.
Well actually we do, we purchased them without you even knowing they could be purchased.
I am going to take these abandoned buildings and start a school!
They are not abandoned!! We own them!!
This is a very common family before the treaties were signed; they may have done wrong but they had a very stable society that was beneficial to all that lived there.
After the treaty was signed, Natives were forced to cede all of Western Oklahoma and a railroad was built. This brought economic advancements but also a lot of non-Indians who were allowed by the treaty to take Native foods.
With the railroad and the land run, more and more white settlers started to invade on Native American land. This caused a lot of discomfort within the Native American communities because within the treaty it states that non-Indians are allowed by law to exploit the resources of Natives.
