  • Clara Barton was born December 25, 1821 in Oxford, Massachusetts. During the time she was alive she became a teacher, nurse, and the founder of the American Red Cross. Then died at her home on April 12,1912.
  • Barton had many accomplishment's in her life. The first women to become a teacher and open her own school. She then was a nurse for the Civil war. Realizing that there are many injures during the war. She then discovered the American Red Cross.
  • In all her importance as a person is that she has saved peoples lives, gave children education, and got inspiration from being a nurse to help people and create a whole another hospital. Clara Barton has had many great accomplishments during her life.
