- hello we are adeife ,romarion and denzel we are going to be teaching you guys what fractions are.
- Represents a whole
- Essentials of a fractiona,a faction needs numerator/ dividend
- A fraction represents a part of a whole or, more generally any number of equal parts
- we need to multiply the numerator’s and the denominator’s then simplify which means to find the common factor then divide them by it
- In order to add fractions they need to have the same denominator and in order to find you need to find the common multiple,
- for subtraction find the lowest common denominator/multiple multiply it by the numerator and denominator then subtract the given fractions
- In order to divide a fraction you need a reciprocal
- After you do the reciprocal you also switch the division operation to multiplication then multiply the fractions then simplify it
- mixed fraction is the sum of a whole number and a proper fraction, it’s an alternate way to write an improper fraction
- an improper fraction is when the numerator is more than the denominator
