  • hi im earth and i have 6 layers! my innermost layer is the troposphere. the troposphere gets its name from the weather constantly changing!
  • dont forget that its between 5 and 9 miles thick! the air is also most dense on this layer
  • my next layer is the stratosphere. this layer is located above the mesosphere and below the troposphere!
  • the stratosphere is also the ozone layer which is really thick, 22 miles! this layer protects us from the ultraviolet radiation!
  • 22 miles thick!
  • my next layer is the mesosphere! this layer is found above the stratosphere and the air is so thin here that you cannot breath!
  • this layer is the thermosphere is located above the mesosphere and below the exosphere. This layer can get up to 4,500 degrees Fahrenheit!
  • Although its warm, you would be very cold here because there aren't enough gas molecules to transfer the heat to you!
  • this next layer is the Ionosphere! this layer is very unique because depending on the energy that it gets from the sun, it will grow and shrink!
  • This layer causes auroras to happen because the charged particles are affected by the magnetic fields on the sun and earth!
  • my last layer is the exosphere. it is the outermost one that is in the atmosphere! This is the layer that separates everything else from space and It is about 6,200 miles thick.
  • It is also very cold here and has no air to breathe. It has spread out gasses like hydrogen and helium.
