- Speeding down I-95 on an icy night, after which her mother, all of twenty-three, started a downward spiral she never recovered from.
- Molly experienced loss at a young age and ended up being almost completely orphaned.Her dad died in a car crash and her mother became depressed and never really recovered fromthere.
- “A sister as dear to me as my own self–there is no language for my loss.”
- Vivian, Niamph at the time, had their apartment burned by a fire. She lost all of her family in the fire except for her mom.She was the most destroyed by the loss of her 18 month old sister.
- Vivian received news of her husband’s death while working in the back of the shop. She was at the time pregnant and already not feeling well.This sent her into a downward spiral that made her depressed.
- There was nothing anyone could do; the plane came apart on top of him.
- Vivian was depressed because Dutchy had died in the war.Because of her depression she was not in a good spot to be taking care of a child so she but up her kid for adoption.there.
