a vision quest is an attempt to achieve a vision of a future guardian spirit. traditionally this is undertaken at puberty by aboriginal people.
a sacred location is chosen. The participant is sent from the tripe to the location. The location used in vision quest is forest. The participant is sent out to connect with wilderness.
Along with all of the praying you will be doing, you will also be fasting. You will not be able to drink or eat anything for four days you are on a vision quest
The participant must have a vision of their spirit in order to successfully complete the vision quest
at the end of the vision quest, the participant should returns to their tribe with much higher status than before
The participant has a vision interpreted by the elder of their Tribe. this is their first step to adulthood
