Dad Decides to Marry off Katherine to Petruchio
Day of the Wedding
Lucentio falls in love with Bianca at first sight, and decides to disguise himself as a Latin tutor to get closer to her. He does this by the help of his servant's, and is able to flirt and be close to Bianca.
Petruchio Starts Taming Kathrine
The father of Kathrine, is pursued by Petrucio that he is a perfect match for his daughter Kathrine. He say's to him that he can make his daughter a obedient wife. Katherines' father then decides to marry her off.
Bianca and Lucentio Elope
Petrucio doesn't show up on time and everyone is wondering if he stood her up. He finally shows up for the wedding, but is not wearing appropriate clothing. The father of Kathrine is outraged and he somewhat regrets marrying her to this man. Then, when they where suppose to go to an after party, Petrucio decides he will take the bride immediately.
Husbands bet on wives obedience
They walk into his home, and Kathrine's dress is already tattered and ripped. When they get there, Kathrine starts to act difficult, so Petrucio refuses to feed her and let her rest. Kathrine starts to break and give into his plan to make her obedient.
Bianca's father decides that she will marry one of the men that he chooses Since Bianca has fallen in love with Lucentio, she defy' s her father and elopes with her known to be Latin teacher. They then get married in secret, so when they came back to tell the news of Lucentio's real identity and their marriage.
The last scene of the play where there's all the characters eating together. Petrucio decides to say that they should bet on their wives obedience, whether or not they would listen to their husbands. To everyone's surprise, Kathrine is the only wife that listens. Petrucio had tamed the Shrew and won the bet.
