There are now new taxes on glass, paint, oil, lead, paper, tea, and other British goods.
What!? How dare they!
This interesting event occurred due to a law parliament made that confirmed British soldiers would be taken care of when they serve in the colonies. The colonists had to let British soldiers stay at their homes while they take care of them. They believed this was unfair because they had to take care of them without complaint, they weren't gonna get paid, and they had to give them supplies whether they were limited or not.
Boston Massacre
Fire! Fire! And be damned!
The Stamp Act began brutal conflict. It was also a law passed by Parliament stating the colonists have to pay taxes to the British when buying certain items so the British can overcome their debt. Many protests occurred including the one in the photo. This set off more conflicts that are very destructive.

The Townshend Acts consisted of multiple acts. First, they taxed British goods such as paper, paint, lead, glass, and tea. It also consisted of many new rules the colonists did not enjoy and led to further protests and more conflict. They believed the colonists might accept this act, yet they were very wrong and colonists starting smuggling.
Boston Tea Party
The Sons Of Liberty
This event was far from a massacre, yet that is what Paul Revere called it. In this event, the British arrived at Boston as a crowd of colonists began attacking them. Scared, the British fired and killed about five people. Paul Revere started to make up lies which caused even more conflict to occur.
In 1773, the Parliament passed the Tea Act which gave rights to the East India Tea Company. They allowed them to import tea to the colonies and give them the right to sell their tea directly to shopkeepers which angered the merchants because they could no longer make money. Many colonists were angered and began a protest which was further named the Boston Tea Party.
