  • The Albany Plan of Union was a plan to unite the British colonized into a centralized government. Benjamin Franklin used a political cartoon of a snake to demonstrate the importance of unity.

  • After the French & Indian War, King George III created a line along the Appalachian Mountains. Colonists were forced to stay east of the line, while the Indians were given all of the land west of the line.

  • The Declaratory Act was put into place on the same day as the repeal of the Stamp Act. King George III used this act to assert the dominance of the British government.

  • The Boston Massacre happened due to a riot by colonists who were angry about the soldiers who were occupying Boston and enforcing recent acts that were put in place by the British Government.
