In 13th century, there was a Persian mathematician named Nasir al-Din al-Tusi at Maragheh, Iranian Azerbaijan under Mongol Empire,
Thank you Hülegü, I'll make sure it's not only used for astronomical reaserch but library as well.
I've built this conservatory for you Tusi, please make use of it.
And so, the Persian scholar, Nasir Al-Din Al-Tusi begin many translations and researches at the conservatory,
I think I'll do tables of planetary movements to calculate positions of planets and names of the stars.
Then, I'll invent geometrical technique for the planetary model and name it Tusi-Couple!
Nasir Al-Din Al-Tusi also formulate the famous law of sines for plane triangles..
The ideas then were compiled in a book called Zij-i ilkhani (Ilkhanic Tables)...
And I think it's time to separate trigonometry from astronomy and make it a distinct discipline
Using previous works on sine function, he gavethe first extensive interpretation of spherical trigonometry that never been done before.
..as well as the law of sines for spherical triangles
