  • As the speaker of the house and the votes of our representatives, I send this bill to the senate for them to decide
  • First, an idea is introduced as a bill as a proposal for a law.
  • Out of a 3/4 agreement of the senate, we send this bill to the conference committee.
  • Then, this bill is sent to a specific type of committee it qualifies for and is decided if it should be sent to the house.
  • Time to match the two different types of committee areas and agree on one.
  • After committee sends this bill to the house, the house discusses and debates if this bill is needed to become a law and sends it to the senate.
  • Following the vote of the house, if the house wants to keep the bill, they send it to the senate for them to do vote again.
  • If the senate agrees with the house of representatives on the bill, then, they send it to the conference community to make the bill match with the two different versions of it.
  • After the conference committee, the bill is sent to the president to sign but the president can also veto the law and then it goes back to the house to be voted on again.
