  • Mr. Jones feels that the animals ruined his live and took away all the pleasures he gave them (Page 12)
  • Mr. Jones acts mean and cruel to the animals, and he is neglectful to them. (Page 1)
  • Mr. Jones thinks that the animals are indebted to him because he was a kind ruler (Page 12)
  • One thing Mr. Jones says is "I have suffered a monstrous injustice!" (Page 12)
  • Moses
  • Moses feels that Mr. Jones takes good care of him (Page 2)
  • Moses acts loyal to Mr. Jones (Page 2)
  • Moses says rumors about the Sugarcandy Mountains (Page 2)
  • Moses thinks that he will be safer with Mr. Jones then with the animals. (Page 7)
