- Archbishop Murray visited Catherine and advised her to stabilize the House of Mercy so that her work of Mercy can continue should something happen to her by turning it into a convent. Catherine consulted her associates and trusted in God and Blessed Mother for guidance about Archbishop Murray proposition.
- Catherine starts to build various convents in Ireland. Her and the sisters were constantly moving from convent to convent. All the travelling starts to affect Catherine’s health, leading to her catch Tuberculosis.
- Mother Catherine was dying from tuberculosis. She had said “Yes” to God and had dared to be what she was called to be. Catherine Elizabeth McCauley, in the sixty fourth year of her life, took the final step out of time to eternity, into the presence of her God.
