  • The Coliseum is damaged because of natural disasters, in particular, earthquaques. There have also been people through the ages breaking away pieces as souvenirs and to build the Vatican
  • Good question! The Coliseum was a circus were people saw  gladiators race or fight with each other... or against animals in land oreven in water!!!
  • How many peoplecould the Coliseum hold?
  • The Coliseum gets about 4 million tourists each year, making it the 39th most popular tourist destination in the world!!!
  • The Coliseum could hold 50,000 people and it could be completely evacuated in a few minutes,thanks to its many emergency exits

  • It also took 60,000 of Jew slaves to build it. It took a decade of work, all day long. It was built between 70A.D. to 80A.D.,,,
