"The three skeleton Key" is a short story about three lighthouse keepers who have to deal with rats. When the rats were making progress through the window they decided to turn off the lights in order to get people to come to the "Three Skeleton Key". After the people noticed that people were trapped do to rats they had an idea of getting a hose to blow off some of the rats but not all. When that didn't work they had a better idea of getting another boat and filling it up with fresh meat. Along with the meat they drenched it with gasoline and got every last rat on the boat and lit it on fire. But not only did the fire kill the rats the sharks helped too. In the text the narrator says "This is the only time the sharks were helpful." Finally after they were safe from the rats the people from the tugboat took them different places to get there specific needs. Itchoua died within a week because of rat bites in humid climate. Le Gleo was sent to a asylum in france because he went in insane. And the narrator stayed and finished his service, because why not. This short story is a very detailed and interesting story.
