  • Contrast and contradiction
  • Contrast and Contradiction
  •         Contrast and contradiction
  • "The thought of him being unwound had been too much for him to bear." pg205 He would act this way because even though lev snitched on him and risa he still cares about him.
  • Again and Again
  • "Connor bolts right for the porch."pg62 He would act this way because he feels bad for the baby. When the mom was irritated when she saw the baby connor got mad, and confronted her on it.
  • Again and Again
  • "I ain't stupid" said lev. "Aha you said ain't." pg 125 He might act like this because he's hanging around cyfi so much that he's starting to talk like him.
  • Again and Again
  • "So... you heard that story too?" pg168 I think the author brings this up again and again because they all scared of this happening o them if they get caught. Meaning he keeps bringing it up because it's in their head constantly.
  • "Would you rather die or be unwound." pg 167 I think the author keeps bringing this up again and again because the answer will come out towards the end of the story. So they are kind of foreshadowing or keeping the question relevant.
  • "We get sent to harvest camp and they cut us apart, that's what happens next." pg98 The authors brings this up again and again because, he's expressing how much connor has given up on escaping from being unwound.
