Storyboard Text

  • The fall of the Viking empire can be blamed because both humans caused and natural problems.
  • One human-caused problem is that the Vikings quickly went to war with their neighbors. This leads to them not learning skills from them to survive.
  • The farming methods they brought from their homeland were not suited for the new land and this leads to not enough food.
  • The icebergs in the area caused trade to be cut off and that meant they had to self-efficient which wasn't possible for the Vikings.
  • Lastly, faulty social values lead to the downfalls of the Vikings. For example, they couldn't eat fish which were abundant in the area.
  • All those factors lead to the downfall of the Viking Empire in Greenland.
