Pizarro put a ransom of gold and silver, the Inca gave it to him but he executed Atahualpa anyways.

Pizarro marched over to Cuzco to loot the city for its treasure and destroyed it.
When he captured the Inca emperor his small group of 200 men killed over 2,000 of the Incas and held 5,000 hostage.
Pizzaro sent his brothers to Cuzco to fight Almagro, who wnated the city Cuzco, defeating him and killing him afterwards.
