On April 26th 1587 117 people including Governor John White set sail from Portsmouth England to the new world. They were aiming for Chesapeake bay. One of the colonists was john whites daughter who was married to a man named Anaias Dare.
On August 18th Whites daugther gave birth and her name was Virginia and was the 1st English child born in North America. Then John White was planning to leave Roanoke to go back to England to get more resources to help Roanoke.
the native americans attack the colonists and kill them. There was a native american tribe nearby and they probably ambushed the colonists at night and only left one body. Maybe the native americans took the forts down and brought them to their camp to also hide the evidence.
