Meg, Charles Wallace, Calvin, and the Mrs. Ws leave the Happy Median. They all need to go to Camazotz to find their father, but the Mrs. Ws can't go with them because they can't survive on a dark planet. Meg was kind of mad about that, but the Mrs. Ws gave each one of them a special ability. Meg's was her faults and Calvin had the power of talking to people.
Mrs. Which tessered them to Camazotz. When they got close to Camazotz the Mrs. Ws left and let them tesser all the way there. Meg freaks out about it because she does not want the Black thing to catch her. Calvin and Charles Wallace are fine and did not worry about it.
When they arrive on Camazotz they meet people that had an odd rhythm. All of the people where doing something at the same time as the other kids like bouncing a ball in the same rhythm as someone jump roping. They find out that they need to go to Central Central Intelligence to find their father.
When they arrive they were sent to the Man with Red Eyes. The man seemed to be nice, but he was trying to take control of Charles Wallace. Charles Wallace as irrigant as he is he tried to get info out of him and got mind controlled. Meg did not like this so she tackled Charles Wallace and nocked him out of the mind controlled state. Then Charles Wallace said he needs to do this, Meg let him do it and they lost him.
Charles Wallace led Meg and Calvin to Mr. Murry. Then Meg starts freaking out because she gets to see her dad. She did not know how to get him out. Charles Wallace was kind of making fun of Mr. Murry when he was hypnotized. Then Meg realized she has Mrs. Who's spectacles. She used them to get through the wall.
When Meg got in Mr. Murry was freaking out because he thought IT was tricking him to give in, but he soon realized it was Meg. He was so glad to see his daughter. Meg then says Charles Wallace is hypnotized by IT. Mr. Murry tried to get Charles Wallace back, but he couldn't because Charles Wallace didn't know his father as much as Meg.
