- Today we shall be speaking about the Unification of Germany .
- In 1860's Otto Van Bismarck provoked war against Denmark, Austria and France,;aligning the;smaller states behind Prussia in its defeat to France160;
- With all this territory now in Prussian control,The proclamation of the German Empire was declared by Bismarck; crowning the King of Prussia;Wilhelm I
- The Proclamation of theGerman Empire affected the rest of Europe;by causing a blow to liberalism, created bitter resentment due to the Geramny;was united, it brought two more competitive powers European;politics, and France's and Austria's weaknesses were revealed.
- Otto Van Bismarck used both diplomacy and military; to achieve Unification of Germany.;With support from Austria, he issued an ultimatum for Christian IX to return Schleswig to its former status. When Denmark refused, Austria and Prussia invaded, sparking the Second Schleswig War.
- Finally, With the proclamation of Wilhelm, Prussia assumed the leadership of the new empire. The southern states became officially incorporated into a Unified Germany;at the Treaty of Versailles of 1871 ,later ratified in the Treaty of Frankfurt, which formally ended the war.;
