My family crossed over the ice bridge, or Beringia, to North America. Instead of going South like the others, we went north to the Arctic ice fields.
We live where it is very, very cold. Few plants grow here. There is snow and ice everywhere. One of our natural resources is the animals that live here. Another natural resource is the parts of the animal, like the bones and the blubber.
We have made seal floats to help us with hunting. Tying it to the harpoon that we throw at the animal, it will slow it down and prevent it from diving underwater. We also use animal fur and bones to build a tent to protect us from blizzards.
