Storyboard Text

  • Bridge to Terabithia Katherine Paterson
  • Leslie Burke
  • Mrs. Grace
  • By Denham Smoother 721
  • At the start when Leslie is first entering the classroom, she is a very energetic and enthusiastic person
  • “She stood there in front, her eyes saying, "OK, friends, here I am,"
  • "OK, friends, here I am,"
  •  When Leslie first creates Terabithia with Jesse, She has just made a friend that she loves with all her heart and is feeling adventurous and very excited
  • "We need a place," she said, "just for us."
  • In about the middle of the novel Leslie stands up to Janice. She is doing this for May Bell. She is being kind for others and is now showing that she is trustworthy and caring.
  • "She stole my Twinkies." "I know she did, May Belle. And Jess and I are going to figure out a way to pay her back for it. Aren't we Jess?"
  • At this point Janice is upset and Leslie goes to help her. Janice is not a nice person but Leslie helps her anyway, a really kind thing to do. This shows that her compassion has grown
  • “Leslie came out at recess to tell Jess that she had started into the girls' room only to be stopped by the sound of crying from one of the stalls. She lowered her voice. "This sounds crazy," she said. "But from the feet, I'm sure it's Janice Avery in there." "OK, I'm going in.”
  • "Sniff Snif, Sob Sob"
  • When Leslie dies at the end, the world loses a good, kind hearted, imaginative person.
  • "Your girlfriend's dead”         "She loved you, you know." He could tell from Bill's voice that he was crying."
