  • Today you guys are going to be presenting imperialism in your assigned countries 
  • our first student presenter is May Felix
  • Imperialism in Uganda began in 1890 and ended in 1926, Britain became it was a parent country 
  • Britain took the political and economic power from East Africa. Meaning that the British had power over all of Uganda’s resources.
  • My assigned country is Uganda
  • This continued until October 9th, 1962 when Uganda won its independence from Britain 
  • Uganda became a State to the United Nations member, Britain’s power had been withdrawned
  • Imperialism affected Uganda in many ways..       For example, Uganda were that their land was divided, most successful mission field, Christians and Muslims bumped heads a lot.
  • The British colonized Uganda by forcing them to do labor work for them in the fields
  • This was my presentation on imperialism in Uganda, Thank You.
