- welcome to Tenochtitlan.
- Tenochtitlan was where the aztec empire ruled .Diego Valesquez led the island conquests. He went out small expeditions. His secretary Hernan Cortez was appointed commander was dismissed the position because he escaped.
- Cortex landed in Tabasco where he received Dona Marina, a translater to the Indians and Aztec rulers. All of them then marched to Tenochtitlan from the Lake Texcoco. Montezuma, the ruler welcomed the Spaniards. Cortez was gifted a crystal necklace and escorted to their quarters.
- a week later.. cortez captured Montezuma because of rumours on Aztecs planning to fight them and spaniards had already died. Montezuma possibly ordered his men to kill in Tenochtitlan because he thought cortez was a God.
- finally, the Aztecs are defeated!
- The spaniards started a campaign against Aztec religion by destroying their property. Aztecs attacked and took their quarters back. Cortez returned with soldiers. during Montezuma's captivity he was killed. After his deaths spaniards tried to excape but was killed by Aztecs.
- Cortez returned with soldiers. They tried to carry a wooden bridge across the broken causeway but the indians attacked and killed some of the soldiers. The others retreated.
- Cortez with the help of the Tlxacalans, created weapons to kill the Aztecs. The spaniards and their allies destroyed the city. A new spanish city was built.
