Join Snowy as he finds out how his amazing species has evolved over time!
Bye students, don't forget about your assignment on how your species has evolved over the years! Have a great weekend
I think I am going to ask Grandpa Twix. He knows just about everything! Bye Stripes!
Hey Snowy, who are you going to interview for your project? I have absolutely no idea who I should ask.
The whole way home, Snowy thought about how he thought Grandpa would respond.
Hey Gramps! I'm doing a project for school and I figured you could help me since you are, you know, old.
Thanks, I guess. I suppose I could help. Let's go to my study.
Well Snowy, our species hasn't always thrived. There was a time when our species was in danger. We started to die off weren't sure what to do. The biggest problem was the cold. We weren't built for it. Over time some of the younger leopards started to thrive and we all wondered why. It took us years but we finally figured out why.....evolution.
Yeah, but how did we end up with big paws, small ears, and such a big tail?
Did you notice that your tail can wrap all the way around you? That's what helped us stay warm. And your paws, short forelimbs help us to balance in the mountains. Our ears can flatten if needed and your paws can also double as snowshoes!
