  • The U.S.  can still trade just not with British or French ports.
  • British and Native Americans
  • You are to go attack U.S. settlements. This is to be done without question. Ok?
  • Um, ok.
  • The British took Americans to serve on British ships. Shortly after, Jefferson passed the Embargo Act that stopped U.S. ships from trading with Europe. 
  • Call for war and warhawks
  • The U.S. would still be able to trade with European nations just not with Britain or France ports.
  • Battle of New Orleans/Andrew Jackson
  • British army ordered Native Americans to go attack American settlements.
  • Effects of the War
  • We're so proud of our nation. Joining together makes us stronger!
  • Most of the fighting during the war was on the Great Lakes and in upper New York.
  • POW!!!
  • Jackson defeats the British at this battle. This was the last and final battle of this war. A key detail is that communications from Europe were so slow that the news came in to late.
  • The Era of Good Feelings was a big result of the war. During this period, everyone as on the same political party and took much pride in our nation. During this time, our manufacturing also skyrocketed. To encourage manufacturing the gov. placed tariffs on all imported goods, which made Americans more competitive.
