  • Vagina
  • "You are about to embark upon the Great Crusade, toward which we have striven these many months."
  • Go,Go, Go!
  • Cervix
  • Where we landing boys  The circle coming
  • We are almost there brothers 
  • Uterus
  • Oh man! It's the white blood cell monster! Only 3000 of us remain, as he has killed off some of us! We gotta find the fallopian tubes!
  • Approximately 250 million sperm enter the vagina, but most of them die within the first 30 minutes.
  • Uterotubal Junction 
  • 60,000 remaining sperm must navigate through the cervix. The sperm swim single file through small cervical channels to get to the uterus.
  • Fallopian Tube
  • About 3,000 sperm remain and must find their way through the uterus to the fallopian tube. 
  • Fertilization
  • Doorway to the fallopian tube, sperm must show the proper swimming characteristics to be allowed to pass
  • Could it be, am I really there
  • Approximately 10-30 sperm remain.Once inside, sperm are safe from attacks by Leukocytes. (Sperm are provided with nourishment from the fallopian tube, so they stay alive for several hours
  • Ah! I've found it! An egg!
  • The remaining sperm must attempt to find the egg at the upper end  of the fallopian tube. They penetrate the egg and fertilize it.
