Viola (dressed as Cesario) meets Olivia and tells Orsino's love for her. Olivia falls in love with the young man and asks him to come again. For the second visit, she sends a ring, saying it is a gift from Orsino that she wishes to return. This confuses Cesario because she is dressed as a man.
