Me and my crew will be heading to the New World to establish some COLONIES for New England
We finally made it to the New World. I met many people here and asked them why they decided to come to the New World. Many of them were either SEPARATIST (These were people who wanted to separate from the New England Church), PURITAN (These were people who wanted to make the New England church better) they were also PILGRiMS (who wanted to take a religious journey) or they were QUAKERS (a group that believed that they had direct link with god)
THE NEXT DAY
Ok so I left my group behind because I need time for myself since being a colonist can be very stressful. I've met some amazing people on my voyage to Jamestown such as JOHN SMITH who was the one who helped find and gover Jamestown. While i was there he introduced me to the HOUSE OF BURGESSES. The next day I went to Massachusetts where I met the one and only JOHN WINTHROP who was puritan who governed Massachusetts bay. While i was there many people had a TOLERATION of religious belief and they all respected that. All these colonies they were Proprietary Colony as John was telling me. They didn't fully separate from New England. Since I've settled here I've noticed that many in the New England colonies mostly came because of religious belief.
On my journey here to the parts of the New England colony I decided to meet some more people here and learn how it is to be a colonist. I got the chance to met William Penn, he governed Pennsylvania and he was based on religious tolerance. Few days later i traveled to Rhode Island and meet up with Roger Williams he was a great guy and he founded Rhode Island because for separation of Church and State. In Rhode Island i bumped into this lady since i was in a hurry to get home and she was Anne Hutchinson and was telling me about how she disagrees with the church of Massachusetts and was part of the formation of Rhode Island. Then i decided to take my crew to one of the churches in Connecticut and i got to meet Jonathan Edwards he was a Puritan minister who led revivals and it was interesting how the meeting went. There were a lot of people there who wanted to get people to return to Christianity. So my trips around the New england colonies i got to learn more about colonist and how many of the came for religious freedom.
A LONG RIDE LATER...
After my trip to the New England colonies and learning about those colonist I decided to go to the Southern colonies and see how it's over and what they do for a living. When I got there were many people working on the fields growing cash crop. I met Cecil Calvert, Lord Baltimore he was the one who established of Maryland as a place for English Catholics. Then i took a little visit to Georgia and found out that that colony was used for debtors and as a buffer against the Spanish. The person who governed that colony was James Oglethorpe. While I was there down in the south I heard many people talking about Nathaniel Bacon. Saying how he was the one who led a rebellion with a thousands of farmers. Wow! Many of people didn't like the Royal Colony, they were always making the people in the New World pay taxes for England. I understand why Nathaniel Bacon wanted to rebel against then.
I now had one colony I had to go to and that was the Middle Colonies. This region had more diversity than the South and New England colony. In this region I got to meet the famous journalist John Peter Zenger that would record Charters that were created to set a settlement. For these reasons he told me that he was sued and also sent to jail. Once I had fun in the Middle colonies I had to go back to the Plymouth colony and meet up with my crew again as i was helping them pack up. Oh I forgot to mention in my story that one of my crew members was William Bradford he helped a lot while we were here in the New World. He helped the colony survive droughts, crop failures, and Indian attacks. Now thats out of the way I really need to get back to exploring more areas... Isn't that the point of a colonist, exploring new areas. So this is where my story ends. THE END!
