Photosynthesis!

Photosynthesis!

Storyboard Text

  • From what I know, you take in raw materials, water and Co2. You take in water through you're roots from the soil and Carbon dioxide from the atmosphere through your stomatas
  • Hi there, lil' plant! Its awful hot out here. I'm having a picnic. What're you havin' for lunch?
  • I'm eatin' SUN. Well, not exactly but you know what I mean right?
  • Correct, then I take in sunlight energy through chlorophyll in my chloroplasts and the sunlight, a catalyst, causes a chemical reaction to occur. This is the beginning of photosynthesis.
  • Fascinating! Then, what happens to the Carbon dioxide and water?
  • Well, the carbon dioxide is taken in and is left with a waste product, oxygen. You heterotrophs breathe that oxygen and we autotrophs breathe your Co2. That catgeorizes us plants and you animals into groups based on how you get food. We clean the air and you take it in again. The water is turned into glucose sugar. That is our food.
  • So then what is the point of all of this? Why do you do this?
  • In the end, we have food and products. You already know that oxygen is one of our products and another is glucose sugar. This is the result of the chemical reaction. This is how we grow and survive.
  • Well I really appreciate you talkin' about photosynthesis! I'm going to enjoy my picnic now.
  • Thanks for listening! Bye bye now!
  • How was that plant talking?
