Storyboard Text

  • Hi! I'm Francisco and I have my pal Luke here to tell you guys about minerals and how we use them.
  • WARNING If you die, it's your own fault.
  • Uh, Francisco, did you read the sign?
  • A mineral is a pure inorganic substance that occurs naturally in the earth's crust.
  • I'm not sure about this...
  • We warned you, OK?
  • Minerals are valuable natural resources being finite and non-renewable.
  • Never mind, actually. It's not that bad!
  • They constitute the vital raw materials for many basic industries and are a major resource for development
  • A mineral is a naturally occuring chemical compound, usually of crystalline form and not produced by life processes.
  • A mineral has one specific chemical composition, whereas a rock can be an aggregate of different minerals or mineraloids.
  • That is why a mineral is a natural resource!
  • WARNING If you die, it's your own fault.
  • That was actually safe.
