  • 1929 - President Hoover
  • 1929 - Stock Market Crash
  • 1930 - Dust Bowl Drought
  • On March 4th, 1929, Herbert Hoover became President of the USA.
  • 1936 - Hottest Summer
  • It is so hot
  • On October 24th, 1929, the stock market crashed. The prices fell 11%
  • 1940 - World War II
  • The first drought of the Dust Bowl occured on June 17th in over 23 states. This was the worst drought within 300 years.
  • 1941 - Pearl Harbor
  • In June of 1936, one of the hottest summers ever recorded occured. The hottest recorded temperature was 110 in eight states.
  • In June of 1940, Hitler conquered France and bombed London. After this event, the US started sending arms to Britain.
  • On December 7th, 1941, Japan attacked Pearl Harbor and Congress declared war. The USA was officially involved in WWII.
