Storyboard Text

  • There's so many people! I can't accept the award like this
  • hmm....
  • I'm so nervous about my speech!
  • Lucky for you, I'm taking a speech class. First, make sure to stand tall with your shoulders back and keep your hands still so you look confident and calm
  • Okay, I can do that
  • Looking better already! Next, while you are speaking, keep eye contact with the audience by looking at the people at least 50% of the time to the trust and believe you.
  • But, what if I trip or I mess up the or everyone starts laughing!
  • Breathe! When you are giving your speech, you need to talk at a steady pace so the audience stays engaged and understands you.
  • Okay, but wait! What if I can't talk loud enough for all of them to hear?
  • Thank you so much!
  • We can fix that. Make sure to take deep breaths to support your voice and speak in a lower voice, as those are naturally louder. You should be good to go now!
  • And lastly, I would like to thank someone who was my personal superhero toady. Without you I would not be up here giving this speech, so thank you.
