In the beginning of the story everything is hopeful, everyone is curious and delighted at the though of the sun showing its beautiful face "Do the scientists really know? Will it happen today". Most of their lives had led up to this. for it would be seven years before it rained again. As the children sat in, one of them noticed it was slowing down "Its's stopping it's stopping!"
Everyone in this class wrote a poem of a small story Margot read hers first when she finished on of the boys said "Aw did you write that" soon after the teach silenced the boy. this was the beginning of the main conflict. Its not looking good for Margot
One of the boys said "hey everyone lets put her in the closet before the teacher comes" they surrounded her and pushed her into the closet. The teacher arrived shortly after and asked "ready children?" she glanced at he watch anticipating the stop of the dreaded rain. The class answered "YES!" excitedly
They had finally been let out of the bunker, the sun was a gorgeous flaming bronze the teacher said "don't go too far now!" They started to run and turn their faces up to the sky feeling the heat from the sun. One child exclaimed "this is better than the sun lamps!" another child said "definitely!"
In the midst of them running one girl wailed "oh, look look" the girl said trebling, in the middle of her hand she held one huge rain drop. a few more drops fell on their noses, cheeks , and mouths. It started raining again one child asked the teacher "seven more years?" the teacher answered yes.
One child gave a little cry "Margot!" They stood as if someone had driven them like so many stakes into the floor. "Margot" one of the girls called out, "well...?" they turned through the door way to the room.Lightning on their faces blue and terrible, behind the closet door was only silence they opened the door slowly and let out Margot.
