Gravity is what makes us stay down on the ground and not float off into space, it is the force that makes sure we're always pushing towards the center of the earth.
How do magnets work?
Friction is the resistance that one surface or object encounters when moving over another, for example it is easier to slide down ice than it is to slide on a surface that has more friction.
The stretchy material you see on bridges is elastic and helps a bridge stay in one piece during an earthquake, overall elasticity is very important.
Magnets stick together because opposites attract, magnets are important because they help control how different things nowadays work.
