Brother was incredibly cruel to Doodle and made him touch his own coffin. He threatened to leave Doodle there if he didn't touch the coffin. This was included to foreshadow the unfortunate death of Doodle.

This is the part where Doodle learns to walk. This was included to show how persistent Doodle and Brother were about making Doodle "normal"
When Doodle buries the bird he finds himself really caring for it. This is included because it also foreshadows the tragic death of Doodle.
This was the final scene where we see Brother open up about his regret and mistakes. He realizes what he has done because of the death of Doodle.
