When I was your age, i lived in that same house! I can take you home.
Thank you.. grandpa?
It's 1918, and the Spanish Flu is getting worse and worse. Denise Tallman and her 5 year old son, Tyler, live in New York City and are getting hit the hardest.
Tyler! Dinner's ready!.. Tyler?
Where is he?! I need to go looking for him!
Tyler's mother works a hefty job at home and doesn't have much time with him. Tyler goes outside his house without his mother's permission, not knowing the dangers of the environment.
Maybe he's already inside the house..
Tyler gets lost in the big streets of New York and stumbles upon a strange silhouette. Tyler approaches the silhouette in hopes of getting a new friend. Turns out, it is an old man and he promises Tyler to return him home safely.
Denise is finally finished with her work and prepares dinner for her son. She calls him down for dinner but nobody responds. She decides to go looking for him.
The old man brings Tyler home as he promises, but when Tyler arrives home, his mother isn't present. He breaks down in tears, but just when he thought she was gone for good, the old man spots her across the street.
They reunite together and cry tears of joy. Denise also thanks the old man by letting him stay in the house until the Spanish Influenza is over. They all live as a small family, and hope to stay together during these tough times.
